I’m Denzel Irawan, a filmmaker based in Vancouver. My work moves between producing, directing, and post-production, shaping stories from concept to final cut.

I was born in Indonesia and drawn to film through a mix of curiosity and expression. With a background in psychology and humanitarian work, I became interested in not just how stories are told, but why they resonate. That perspective continues to shape the way I approach every project.

My time as an IB Diploma Programme graduate and film school student helped me develop both a structured way of thinking and a broader global perspective. It taught me how to balance creativity with intention, and how to tell stories that connect across different audiences.

For me, film is about emotion. It is in the small details, the quiet moments, and the atmosphere that stays with you long after the screen fades.

Whether working independently or collaborating with others, I aim to create films that feel honest, grounded, and human.
