Jackass: Best and Last

Ever since I was younger, I’ve been a huge fan of the Jackass franchise. Whether it was the TV series or the movies, there was always something entertaining about watching the cast push the limits with outrageous stunts, pranks, and their willingness to laugh at themselves. It wasn’t just about the chaos—it was the chemistry between the cast that made the series so memorable.
For those unfamiliar, Jackass originally started as an MTV television series in the early 2000s, created by Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine, and Spike Jonze. The show quickly gained a cult following for its raw, unfiltered approach to stunt comedy, blending skate culture, absurd humor, and a fearless disregard for personal safety. After the success of the show, the franchise expanded into a series of films, including Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, and Jackass 3D, each pushing the boundaries even further while maintaining the same chaotic spirit fans loved.
Over the years, the cast has become iconic—Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Wee Man, and others have built a legacy around their willingness to take risks for entertainment. However, as time has passed, the physical toll of these stunts has become more apparent, making each new installment feel more significant than the last.
When I heard that Jackass: Best and Last was coming out, I was genuinely excited. As someone who’s followed the franchise for years, it feels like the end of an era. It’s exciting to see many of the familiar faces return for one last adventure, and I’m looking forward to experiencing the same unpredictable humor that made me a fan in the first place.
As a filmmaker, I also appreciate the work that goes into creating these films. While the stunts may look spontaneous, there’s a surprising amount of planning, camera work, editing, and production involved to capture everything safely and make it entertaining. It’s a reminder that even the craziest ideas still require a dedicated team behind the scenes.
I’ll definitely be watching Jackass: Best and Last when it releases, and I can’t wait to see what the crew has planned for what appears to be their final chapter. If you’ve been a longtime Jackass fan like me, I’d love to hear what you’re most excited to see in the new film.
